Where is GrowLocal Labs located and who do you work with?
GrowLocal Labs is based in Greater Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. We work with small and mid-sized businesses across Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, Fredericton, Saint John, Halifax, and the rest of Atlantic Canada. We also serve clients remotely across Canada and the United States.
What services do you offer?
Three core services: custom web design and development, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) management, and AI automation through GrowAI. Most clients combine two or more for compounding results.
Do you work with industries outside Atlantic Canada?
Yes. While we are based in Moncton and have deep roots in Atlantic Canada, we work with clients across Canada and the United States. Most engagements are delivered remotely with regular video calls and shared project boards.

Web Design

How much does a custom website cost?
Custom websites start at $650 (one-time). Final price depends on the number of pages, complexity, integrations, and whether you need bilingual content or e-commerce. Every site includes SEO, AEO, and GEO as standard. See full pricing on the Services page.
How long does a website project take?
Most marketing websites launch within 2 to 4 weeks from project kickoff. Larger or bilingual builds (10+ pages, complex CMS, multilingual SEO architecture) take 4 to 8 weeks. We share a clear timeline before we start.
Do you use templates, page builders, or WordPress?
No. Every website we build is hand-coded from scratch using modern frameworks like Astro and React. This gives you sub-2-second load times, full SEO control, no plugin bloat, no security vulnerabilities, and a site that loads faster than 95% of the sites in your industry.
Do you build bilingual or French websites?
Yes. We build fully bilingual English and Canadian French websites with proper hreflang implementation, French-Canadian URL slugs, and culturally appropriate translations. Our largest case study is a 650+ page bilingual platform for Greenfoot Energy Solutions across 21 cities and 5 provinces.
Who owns the website after it is built?
You do. You own your domain, your content, your code, and your hosting account. We do not lock you into proprietary platforms or hold your assets hostage. If you ever decide to leave, everything transfers cleanly.
What is included when you build a website?
Every build includes: discovery and strategy, custom design, hand-coded development, mobile responsiveness, on-page and technical SEO, AEO and GEO optimization, schema markup, Google Analytics 4 setup, Google Search Console submission, sitemap and robots.txt, basic accessibility (WCAG AA), pre-launch QA, and one round of post-launch revisions. Hosting setup is also included.
Do you handle hosting and domains?
Yes. We set up fast, secure hosting (typically Cloudflare Pages, Vercel, or similar edge platforms) and connect your domain. You keep ownership of both. If you already have hosting you like, we can deploy to your existing setup.
Do you write the website copy or do I provide it?
Either works. We offer professional copywriting as an add-on, including SEO research, conversion-focused page structure, and brand voice work. If you prefer to write your own, we give you a content brief and edit what you provide for SEO and clarity.
Do you build e-commerce or Shopify sites?
Yes. We build custom Shopify stores, headless storefronts (Shopify + Astro/Next.js), and lightweight stores with Stripe checkout for service businesses. Pricing for e-commerce starts higher than a standard marketing site because of the additional setup (products, payments, taxes, shipping, fulfilment).
Can you redesign or rebuild my existing website?
Yes. We do full redesigns of WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, and custom sites. We preserve your existing URLs and SEO equity wherever possible (301 redirects, schema migration, content audit) so you do not lose Google rankings during the switch.
Do you offer logo design or branding?
We offer light branding work as part of web projects (color systems, type pairing, simple logo refinement). For full brand identity systems (logo suite, brand guidelines, naming, packaging) we partner with specialist designers we trust. Just ask and we will recommend the right path.
Will my website be mobile-friendly and fast?
Yes. Every site is mobile-first, loads in under 2 seconds, and scores 90+ on Google PageSpeed for both mobile and desktop. We use modern image formats (WebP/AVIF), lazy loading, edge hosting, and zero plugin bloat.

Meta Ads

How much does Meta Ads management cost?
Our Meta Ads management starts at $1,500/month. This includes strategy, creative production, audience targeting, A/B testing, retargeting, the Facebook Conversions API setup, and transparent monthly performance reporting. Your ad spend is separate and goes directly to Meta.
Can you guarantee Meta Ads results?
No legitimate agency can guarantee specific ad results because performance depends on your offer, market, budget, and creative. What we guarantee is process: Conversions API for accurate tracking, rigorous A/B tests, weekly optimization, and transparent reporting. Most clients see meaningful lift in qualified leads within the first 60 days.
How do you report on results?
For Meta Ads clients you get a monthly performance report covering spend, impressions, click-through rate, cost per lead, conversions, and recommended next moves — plus a live Looker Studio dashboard you can check anytime. For web clients we share a launch-week traffic and rankings baseline and a 90-day check-in.
Do you also run Google Ads?
Our specialty is Meta Ads, where we have the deepest expertise and best results. We can run Google Ads when it makes strategic sense (high-intent search, branded defense, retargeting) and will tell you honestly if Google would serve your goals better than Meta.

AI & GrowAI

What is GrowAI and what does it do?
GrowAI is our AI automation product. It includes conversational chatbots for lead qualification, automated appointment booking, CRM integration, follow-up sequences, and custom workflow automations. Pricing is custom based on the scope and integrations you need.
What kind of businesses benefit most from AI automation?
Service businesses with high inbound volume (clinics, real estate, contractors, law firms, salons), lead-gen businesses that lose deals because no one answers fast enough, and operations-heavy businesses with repetitive admin (booking, follow-up, intake forms). If you are losing leads to slow response times or spending hours a week on routine messages, AI automation pays for itself quickly.
Will AI automation replace my staff?
No. The point is to remove the repetitive work — answering the same questions, qualifying tire-kickers, booking appointments, sending reminders — so your team can focus on high-value conversations and closing. Most clients use AI to handle the first 80% of an interaction and hand off to a human at the right moment.
How long does it take to launch an AI chatbot or automation?
A standard lead-qualifier chatbot launches in 1 to 2 weeks. More complex automations with multiple integrations (CRM, calendar, payment, custom workflows) take 3 to 6 weeks. We start with a discovery session to map your current process, then build, test, and deploy in stages.
Can the AI integrate with my existing CRM, calendar, or booking system?

Do you offer SEO?
Yes. SEO is included with every web design build at no extra charge. We cover technical SEO (schema, sitemap, canonical, hreflang), on-page SEO (meta tags, headings, internal linking), local SEO (LocalBusiness schema, NAP consistency, Google Business Profile), and AI search optimization (AEO and GEO) for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
What is the difference between SEO, AEO, and GEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) gets you found on traditional Google search results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) gets you cited by voice assistants and answer boxes (Google featured snippets, Siri, Alexa). GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets you mentioned by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. We optimize for all three because that is where search is moving.
How long until my site ranks on Google?
Local terms (city + service) often start ranking within 4 to 12 weeks of launch with proper local SEO. Competitive non-local terms typically take 6 to 12 months of consistent content and link building. We give you a realistic ranking forecast based on your industry and competition before we start.
Will my site show up in ChatGPT and AI search results?
That is the goal of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), included with every build. We structure your content with clear question-answer formats, FAQ schema, semantic HTML, and authoritative citations — the patterns AI models look for when picking which sources to cite. Many clients now see referral traffic from ChatGPT and Perplexity within months of launch.
Do you handle local SEO and Google Business Profile?
Yes. Local SEO is core to our work. We optimize and verify your Google Business Profile, build proper LocalBusiness schema, ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across the web, set up location landing pages for multi-location businesses, and help you build review velocity. Most local clients hit the Google Map Pack within their first 3 to 6 months.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?
Yes. Monthly care plans cover hosting, security updates, content edits, performance monitoring, backups, and minor design tweaks. Plans start at a flat monthly rate. Most clients on a care plan get same-day or next-day response on edits.
What are your payment terms?
For websites: 50% deposit to start, 50% on launch. For Meta Ads management: monthly billing in advance. Larger projects can be split into milestone payments. We accept e-transfer, credit card, and ACH/wire.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No long-term lock-in. Web design is scoped per project. Meta Ads and care plans are month-to-month after the initial 90-day onboarding period (which gives the algorithm and data enough time to actually work). Cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
What happens if I am not happy with the work?
We build in revision rounds at every stage (strategy, design, development) so you have multiple chances to course-correct before launch. If something is genuinely off, we fix it. We have never had a project end with an unhappy client — we would rather extend a timeline than ship something we are not proud of.
